>In Taiwan, when we started introducing such ideas in 2014 like with vTaiwan and so on, we never went to the policy maker, the senior people, and say, “We’re replacing you with crowdsourcing. We’re replacing you with the wisdom of the internet. We don’t say that. We say that we help you to see things better, like these eyeglasses. It’s assistive technology. You put it on, you see things more clearly, you can see more ideas from society, so that it’s less risk to you, because if you don’t have this kind of eyeglasses and you miss the issues that people think are important, then you end up getting occupied or people becoming very upset with the policy maker. So in a sense, this is, in design thinking, better discovery and a better definition of the shared issue.”
